Chase And Country Tails Terrace at Fifth Floor Harvey Nichols

Snack Bar: A new addition to
Harvey Nichols Fifth Floor
Launching on Monday, 4th June Chase And Country Tails Terrace at Fifth Floor kicks off a quintessentially British summer at Harvey Nichols.
Created by Chase Distillery, the new terrace will have a traditional English country look and feel inspired by the Herefordshire countryside where the distillery is based. A refreshing, citrus aroma of Penhaligons Blenheim Bouquet will scent the air, creating the perfect atmosphere to sip summery, country-infused cocktails in the heart of Knightsbridge.
Dominic Jacobs, Fifth Floor Bar Manager jumped at the chance to create cocktails with Chase Distillery’s range of pioneering British spirits. His list will include Gooseflower Fizz (Chase vodka combined with Chase Elderflower Liqueur, Harvey Nichols Gooseberry Jam, lemon and honey topped with English Sparkling Wine) and the utterly refreshing Marmalade Root Martini (Chase Marmalade Vodka shaken with fresh carrot juice, fresh parsley and lemon, with a dash of honey) alongside summer fruit cups and Chase Perfect Serves.
In addition, Jonas Karlsson, Fifth Floor Executive Chef has put together a selection of mini tasting dishes, inspired by the fruity aromas of the spirits. The menu will feature a traditional Waldorf SaladLemony Devon chicken served with sweet corn and bell peppers on sourdough bread and a Marmalade marinated Gressingham duck breast with crispy shallots alongside a ‘best of British’ sharing platter that includes Alderton marmalade ham, Honey cured Dorset ham, Harvey Nichols mini pork pies, Scotch quail eggs, Cornish Yarg cheese, Lincolnshire Cheddar and English mustard. To finish, a trio of miniature desserts has Dark chocolate and marmalade cakeLemon curd tart and Bramley apple and elderflower crumble. A Tasting Menu paired with cocktails will also be available.
Chase is a family run single estate distillery set up in 2004 by William Chase. Using a unique handcrafted copper batch pot, the family make innovative spirits distilled from produce grown on the farm. After four years of experimenting and perfecting, Chase Vodka was born in 2008 winning gold medals across the world including being voted World’s Best at the San Francisco world spirit awards. It is distilled from seasonally grown Maris Piper, Lady Clair and King Edward potatoes and cut down with the farm’s own water. The Marmalade Vodka is made by marinating the Chase potato vodka with Seville orange marmalade and then re-infusing it with Seville orange peel. The finished spirit has a rich, bittersweet flavour and a warm, velvety feel. Williams Gin is distilled from organically grown cider apples, and then re-distilled with eleven carefully selected botanicals to produce a full-bodied, sharp and fruity gin.
Chase And Country Tails Terrace at Fifth Floor Harvey Nichols will be open from Monday, 4th June to Sunday 15th July. Chase Distillery will also run several Meet the Maker events and tastings throughout.
